JP1 Remotes

Sorry if this question is unclear- I have been away from the JP1 scene for awhile. I have an old 15-1994 and a modified URC-6131 Extended JP1 remote(bought from Rob) and JP1 serial cable from years ago. I want to possibly use the 6131 with a new HTPC Win7 build I finished, and need to buy a usb IR ...

if you were to get OFA remote that takes 5 digit advanced codes, you will find 5 digit advanced codes for discrete ON & OFF in this thread.

Remotes that take these advaned codes include urc-6820, 8820, 10820, and 6690.

I only ask because that doesn't seem to be a code the Sony site linked above knows anything about.

All of what John and Rob wrote above is, of course, correct, but I point out, again, that the correct decode information is already listed at the beginning of EACH HEX STRING. There's no need for IR Tool at all.

I have been in search of the descrete HDMI inputs for my new Panasonic Plasma which appear to not be in any of the upgrade files here, so I came accross this raw hex data in a post in Remote Central of people having the same problem. I am trying to make an upgrade for a Dish VIP622 DVR from existing Dish Upgrades(the codes are the same). But for some reason, the keymoves in the upgrade aren't responding when loaded onto my 6131 Extended remote. They are showing in IR properly but just don't work. I must be missing something ...

I have used the included KM and RM upgrades for Lite-On DVDs along with remote learning to set up this remote, but am still missing Discrete On/Off codes for it, if they even exist, to set up some Macros
