As you have a Nevo, why did you enter "n/a" for question 12?

im new to this forum and RM. i read on a forum that if my Tivo slide remote isnt doing the job i should get the nevo because it should work. my tivo slide works with the learning feature for the volume up and down but it will not work with the power for the def tech soundbar. i tried the same with the nevo and it isnt working either or i do not know what i am doing

See this note about ez-rc. If you still have trouble, download Remote Master.

Here is the device upgrade file for your soundbar from ez-rc. You can load it into your remote and setup your volume punch thru entirely in Remote Master without using ez-rc. The link above also has tutorials and instructions for that.

Here is a very good Tivo file for you as well:

Advanced user's here may have an interest in this soundbar's new protocol.

ok i figured out how to get onto ez-rc and now my device wont stay connected so i went to the regedit and did the change but the site wont stay connected so when i try to download to the remote it doesnt take. im on windows 10. i tried also installing urc8602 but i got an error "Error accessing the registry"

i also tried to be fast when hitting the buttons on the computer it worked to upgrade the firmware but isnt holding to download the info to the remote. i keep getting this pop up Please connect your remote to the PC via the USB cable, and press OK below.

The USB connection may take up to 5 seconds to be ready.

The regedit will definitely fix the connection issue. Just unplug and replug after the edit. There could also be more than one folder. Make sure you get them all (every one that starts with VID_06E7 and every one named Xsight something). This key name also changes slightly after a successful firmware update, so you have to do the regedit again.

If you've never connected to ez-rc before, you also need to download and install the Conduit program if you don't see it running in the tray. Conduit isn't needed for Remote Master. And again, you can load the file I made for you without ez-rc at all.

now the remote stays connected but the app cuts out midway. starts to update with the window on the bottom and then the "Please connect your remote to the PC via the USB cable, and press OK below.

The USB connection may take up to 5 seconds to be ready." pop up comes up after 3 seconds

Unplug at that point, fix the registry again and plug back in. Make sure your batteries are still good as well.

If the remote is stuck in update mode, try number 10 here:

i installed windows 7 on a partition to see if it was the computer but it looks like it could be the remote. keeps bouncing out mid update and asks me to plug in the remote but the remote itself still says usb on the screen

is there a tutorial on how to install the latest firmware on RM for the nevo c2

Also change the key under Xsight_Color, unplug/replug and try again. And try "start a new setup".

From your keys, it appears that you have the latest firmware already and don't need to use ez-rc anymore. On the remote go to Home, Settings, About and see if it's 1.3.33 for a Nevo or 1.3.32 for an Xsight.
