I am trying to load two different upgrade together to my urc9910 via wav. (Still waiting for my jp1 cable. shold be here this week)
One upgrade is identified as SAT 1234 and the other is SAT 1222.
My problem is that both SAT have keymove/macros assign to the L's key so when I load the second one to IR it give a warning indicating that it will remove the current keymove/macros that I already have define and that are pointing to the SAT 1234.
The question is can I have keymode/macro assign to the SAT key for the code 1234 and have a different set assign to the same SAT key under a different code?
Just remember I am still playing upgrading via wav file. I am not sure if that will be come an issue when using the jp1 cable I order.
I also hope I don't have to extend my remote in order to have this feature.
TIA

The problem here is that you're trying to assign both codes, and their keymoves, to one device button (ie, the SAT button). If you assign one to the SAT button and the other to (let's say) the VCR button, you'll be fine.

Macros are global, and apply to the button you assign them to in all device modes of the remote.favfny wrote: The question is can I have keymode/macro assign to the SAT key for the code 1234 and have a different set assign to the same SAT key under a different code?
(ie - it doesn't matter which device key is active - the macro still applies).
(unless you use DSMs which are more advanced)
Keymoves are particular to the device KEY on which you create them.
So the short answer is no - you can't do this.
RM and KM create keymoves as a convenience when you create an upgrade, but once the upgrade is in the remote the keymoves are not linked to that upgrade in any way, but rather apply to the device KEY (mode) you created them for.
But, as Rob said, if you just want the 2 device upgrades loaded to 2 different device KEYS, there's no problem making a different device key accept a SAT type code - just change it on the "general" tab in IR.
