Good morning.
I have a "Dreambox DM600PVR" with the new DREAM Universal Remote-Contoller URC-39930RJ0-03
And my TV is a "Medion-MD 21032" therefor is no Code in the Remote.
I think no problem it gives IR.exe and so on, and make me a JP1 interface... Nothing (no contact).
Look anyway to the internet and found it gives more then JP1 eg. JP1.x ahhh... that is it...
Make me a JP1.x interface, start IR.exe 703, but also nothing...
Load "JP1xTEST.exe" programm from Tommy Tyler and check the interface, all OK.
Fount A JP1.X COMPATIBLE REMOTE ON COM1!
Signature is 10381038
Memory Adress is $E000
Memory size is $1C00 (7168)
Now my question:
if i start IR.exe and check interface it write:
"Failed to open JP1.x interface".
Sometimes it write:
"Found JP1.x succest"
But if i then press "Download from Remote" it write:
"Failed to open JP1.x interface" or sometimes it write: "Read failed -1"
I have no idea what is wrong...
Have some one connect to this Remote-Controller an now what is my problem.
Regards
Wolfgang from Berlin (Germany)

Do you have batteries in the remote? That's all I can think of.

JP1.x Interface problem solved
Special thanks to binky123, he solved the problem:
Now I use IR7.06 with updated jp12serial.dll driver that works.
I had one more problem, when I download from remote, I get the message:
There is a conflict at fixed data Address $0200. Do you want to replace the existing data with the fixed data?
Also binky123 solved the problem:
I was using an old version of the RDF for the dreambox 7020 remote.
With this one it works:

Special thanks to binky123 for the fast and perfect help.

For others having this problem and the new driver version doesn't help; I would suggest reading Tommy Tyler's troubleshooting tips posted in this thread. If you still can't get it working, pay special attention to the last paragraph of section 6.
I have my JP1 setup installed on a USB drive; when I plug the USB drive, JP1 cable & remote into my Dell D610 Latitude, I can't get JP1 to respond no matter what config I use. The lights on the remote flicker but it still produces an error.
When I plug the exact same hardware into my Dell CPX-J Latitude, it works like a charm.
