RemoteMaster vs IR

Post by iboston »

I have a dual setup.

I have two folders. A JP1 folder for RemoteMaster and a UniversalRemote folder for IR. Im programming my newer remotes Nevo C2 etc using the RemoteMater to upload to the remote, and my older remotes are using the older IR where i copy/pasted the hex device codes into the IR before uploading to the remote.

I'm assuming i can use the remotemaster to work with all remotes. My question is, what do i have to do to upgrade or transfer my .IR to .RMIR so i don't have go back and forth. I hadn't upgraded one of my older remotes since 2021! But, today i had to upgrade one of my older remotes, and figured, now might be a good time to update all the remotes to .RMIR

Ps. Took me a bit of time, as i had migrated computers, and i hadn't yet utilized the IR since before then, so i had to actually boot up my old computer and compare, copy over the java files from the older computer, and reset the RDF path and change from JP1 to JP1x to get it working. But im not complaining cause i got the remote updated!

Thanks ahead for your time and help in this matter. I STILL LOVE MY Jp1 (Nevo 2 remote and other JP1 remotes) I would be lost without them!

You can simply open your *.ir files using RMIR and re-save them as *.rmir files, that's it.
