keymap-master v8.11 available!

Post by Mark Pierson »

The latest version of KM (v8.11) is available.

A big THANK YOU to Mike England (mr_d_p_gumby) (the resident expert on the M6805* processor remotes) for the huge contribution of additional M6805* support for KM.

Changes include:
  • Added protocol support for remotes using non-standard data locations.
  • Modified protocol translations to work for P8/740 & M6805-* processors.
  • Added support for M6805-RC16/18 protocols 01, 0B, 1F, 27, 2C, 2E, 41, 4A, 51, 58, 64, 68, 6A, 73, 75, 79, 7A, 7E, 80, 82, 8C, 8E, 90, 92, 98, 9C, 9D, 9E, A1, A6, A8, AA, B0, B2, B6, BD, CD, D1, D4, DE, DF, EB, EE, F2, F3, F4, F8, FF, 111, 114.
  • Removed invalid protocol 52.
  • Added 'Sky Digital 3' & 'S/A Explorer 3' remotes.
  • Corrected parameters for 'Navigator URC-44xxxB02/B04' & 'Intuitive' remotes.
  • Added 'Sky Digital 3' DigitMap entries.

I'd like to keep RM up to date with these kinds of changes.

I'm pretty sure I can find the M6805-RC16/18 code for the mentioned protocols.

What's the scoop on the protocol translations for the P8/740 and M6805* processors? RM only does translation from S3C80+ to S3C80.

I also wonder about the "protocol support for remote using non-standard data locations".

I also need to know the details on the new DigitMap entries.

There isn't any translation required for 740 code like there is from S3C80+ to S3C80. The same protocol will work fine in any 740 remote.

Jason, what Greg is referring to is that I made the translation process in KM generic instead of S3C8-specific, so in theory at least, it could be applied to a 740 protocol. I realize there's no need for that for any currently-known 740-based remote, but there is for some of the 6805-based ones.
