If I have descrete IR codes as Hex codes. How do I convert them for use in my JP1 remote. What software do I use?

It all depends on what form your hex codes are in. If they are Pronto hex codes, then you might try IRTool.

If you also have DecodeIR.dll, IrTool should show you a protocol name, a device number, maybe a subdevice number, an OBC number and maybe EFC number(s).

There are several things you might do with that info:

We can give you more specific help if you tell us all the decode info..

If the ir signals are part of an old code set, you might find a setup code for that protocol name and device number in the devices spreadsheet.

If you have know the setup code for ordinary keys in your device, the EFC number from the decode may be all you need. You can use that (even without JP1) to define a KeyMove in your remote. Assuming the discrete codes have the same device and subdevice number as the ordinary codes, and assuming you aren't using a "2-byte" setup code, the EFC numbers should work.

You could also create a device upgrae with KM or RM and load it into your remote with IR.EXE.
