Vicky,
The 4th post in this thread (by mdavej) starts with a link to a picture of the 1167. It's not short.

They've renumbered the remotes. The gray button remote, used to be called the 1067, and the silver RED button remote used to be called the 1067Bx3, they then repackaged the 1067BX3 with the gunmetal gray and called it the 1067 and called all the older ones 3 device remotes.

Haven't tried that yet, might be in a few days. I am using KM. Haven't used RM much. When I open it it says it can't find images for the remote (1067Bx3 JP1.3). I forgot where/how to find the images and where to save them. I assume it is the same images as the 1067A.

Another question. When I use IR and point it to the directory containing the RDF's, it has both (1067 and 1067Bx3). Does it pick the right one based on the KM or RM upgrade? What about for built in device codes, does it use the RDF file?

Sorry for the newbie type questions. I have used JP1 often for my remotes but not for the last year. I think I forgot a lot of stuff.
Sorry, the 1067Bx3, which I suspect will work for your 1167, isn't in KM as far as I know. You'll have to get RM working and fix your upgrades there to use 1067Bx3. Unlike IR, the RDF selection is not automatic in RM or KM. IR picks the right RDF automatically based on data from your remote download, not on anything you've done in RM or KM. It's up to you to make sure the model you pick in RM/KM matches what IR automatically chose for you.

Just download the latest RM images and put them anywhere you like. RM will ask where they are if it can't find them, then you simply browse to where you put them. RM will also ask where your RDF's are.

Although the picture might be the same, you can't use 1067A because the RDF and signature don't match your 1167. The 1067Bx3 RDF and image DO match the 1167, from all the evidence I've seen so far.

Take your time. Get RM going, change one upgrade to use 1067Bx3 and try it out. If it works, you're back in business.

To some extent, this is good news

Previously, UEI was calling both the JP1.2 and JP1.3 remotes "1067" but with this news that the 30393039 remote now has said that it is a URC-1167, we can now tell the difference other than "red button" tests

Unless they stupidly used the same signature for totally different firmware, which they have done in the past.

as Mdavej says, try out the 1067BX3 RDF that shoudl be selected by IR for this remote and try some stuff. If it works, then we can pretty much be sure that they're the same remote (we will be sure when one of the experts can get their hands on it and do their magic)
this JP1 stuff is a sickness!

With the new remote and code for the DCX series, has anybody used learning or whatever to determine the EFC's and protocol info? Maybe once a map of the current EFC's is known, the 30-second skip can be figured out.
