Multiplex on Dreambox V4 URC-39930

Post by Neil »

I think I am after setting up a multiplex in a Dreambox V4 remote.
I have it programmed for 3 devices. A TV and 2 Dreamboxes with different codes so I can control both individually.

I have the codes, as an upgrade, for my Kiss DP-500 DVD player. I want to be able to add the DVD as a 4th device. I think I need to do this using a multiplex but am not really sure what this is.

Hopefully someone will be able to explain what a multiplex is and how to use it.

Multiplex allows you to change the setup code assigned to a device button. For example, you are in the AUX device mode and press Shift-AUX. This can place a new setup code into the AUX device button slot so future button presses will use this new setup code.

This post has the multiplexor protocol for the URC-39930 although a user said it didn't quite work but never got back to us with more info.

I've updated that other thread with more detail on how to set it up for the URC-39930. The other user has reported that it works now. I think you tried to include the 2-byte setup code within the Keymove itself.
