The lights on the remote don't work. Anybody know what would be wrong? the batteries are new. Thanks Stephen

When you say "lights", do you mean the backlight? If so, it's quite common for the backlight to break with the "Producer 8" series, though I thought the problem was limited to the B00 version, not the B01 version.

The common cause is a faulty backlight sheet, which is a custom part and therefor not replaceable, unless you can salvage one from another remote. Another possible cause is the transformer, which is also unreplaceable as the part is only available in China.

It doesn't matter. You can do no harm. Try the cable both ways.

BUT it's usually indicated by a diagonal notch in the corner of the header adjacent to pin 1.
