When will the new version of IR be available
Just looking for an update on when the new IR will become available. It seems to be pretty stable so maybe somone can post the Beta 3.50 (or later if there is one).
I am getting anxious to get out of the business of maintaining 2 sets of RDF's.
And on a similar note, if we can not post it could someone e-mail me the latest since I accidently deleted it instead of 3.3 and can't find the e-mail or zip file I had.

For anyone else that wants it, I have loaded a copy of IR 3.50 Beta 1 to the Beta folder in the JP1-KM group:

Re: When will the new version of IR be available
I have a new IR version just about ready, so now we need to figure out how to distribute the RDFs.Nils_Ekberg wrote:Just looking for an update on when the new IR will become available.
In the past, IR was the only consumer of RDFs, so I pretty much owned them. Now that RM is in the picture (and the same RDFs can be used for both programs), it's not clear to me as to who should be responsible for them and how they should be distributed.
Should I put the new RDFs in the IR distribution zip?

Mark,
I believe the plan was to make each of the software packages smaller, and have a few more people responsible for smaller areas. Thus, you no longer need to worry about including any rdf's in your IR updates. Nils is now responsible for maintaining all the rdfs, and their distribution. That should take a good load off of you making sure all the rdf's are IR compliant as well as RM compliant. FWIW, you can probably also leave the .doc about rdf's out of the zip as well as that's in the "RDF" folder at yahoo files.
That should make your .zip file a lot smaller, and quicker to download for the users. If an updated IR requires some RDF mods, it would be a good idea to consult with Nils so he knows just what he has to do, as well as make sure that it doesn't 'break" RM, or if it does, he can then consult with Gregg on whatever changes are needed with RM. Then instead of you having to make all those rdf mods, Nils will handle that part of the load, and coordinate them with RM/gregg.

Re: When will the new version of IR be available
Some few weeks ago we decided, for the very reason you mentined, that it was best to distribute the RDF's seperate from the products, in another lengthy thread. I have been maintaining them and distributing them via the "Required Tools" section of jp1. They are no longer being distributed with RM so, I would not worry about including them with IR anymore either. That is ofcourse unless I get firedmpauker wrote:In the past, IR was the only consumer of RDFs, so I pretty much owned them. I am currently maintaining two sets of RDF's, one for IR and RM and the other for RM only pending your next release. I am looking forward to your new release of IR so I can get out of that dual version business.
