Hi, I bought a US Kameleon 9960. I find out that i can't use the European wave files (for the 8060) for the US Kameleon. I read here that is possible to edit the European wave file but i don't know how it works. Can someone please explain me that?
Sorry for my bad English

Re: Using European wave Files
Any of the JP1 experts (myself included) can convert an 8060 .wav file to a 9960 .wav file. But that requires a very good understanding of several of the JP1 tools, quite a bit more than you need for ordinary use of JP1. Also it requires a lot of guesses of which functions make sense on which buttons, since the 8060 buttons are different than the 9960 buttons. Those guesses are better made by someone who has the actual device being controlled.Huckidooh wrote: I find out that i can't use the European wave files (for the 8060 or the new 82XX Versions) for the US Kameleon. For the 82XX, I don't know what's in the .wav files or whether any of the JP1 experts can get anything out.
Also, there are two different "signatures" for 9960 .wav files. We would need to know which you need.
Many devices already have JP1 upgrade files. Starting from a JP1 upgrade file is a lot easier than starting from an 8060 .wav file. That still needs more JP1 expertise than using a JP1 cable would need. But it's easier than going all the way from .wav file to .wav file. What device(s) do you need? What setup codes? Have you looked for JP1 upgrade files?
