I LOOKED BUT COULDN'T FIND -
SINCE WE CAN COLLECT IR AND RF SIGNALS WITH COMPUTOR AND JP1 DEVICES, HOW ABOUT DIRECTLY CONTROLING AVR SYSTEMS W/ PC?
I TRY AND SOMETIMES SUCCEDE IN ELECTRONICS BUT AM NOT ABLE TO DESIGN INTERFACE BUT CAN DISCRIBE IT~
WOULD NEED IR/RF SENDERS AND CONECT TO USB PORT
THEN NEED SIMPLE PROGRAM SIMILAR TO X10'S PC-HOME CONTROL
DOES ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE IDEAS?

This is in my mind
First of, I think there are PC based IR blasters, which work off of USB or serial ports, primarily used to control satelltie and cable boxes for PC DVRs, but could possibly be used to work other things.
For simple to program hardware, my concept is to have a micro (or direct LPT port) control a pair of CD4051 CMOS switches, which close the matrix of a normal remote, universal or otherwise.
