Basic Information Needed

Post by jdc »

Can someone please help with these basic questions:

1. Using SAT code 1142 on a URC-9910 brings up the "info" panel on the Hughes device when either the "guide" or the "info" button on the 9910 is pressed. I would like to change the result of the "guide" button to be the program guide.
2. I have successfully downloaded and saved the configuration of the 9910 with SAT 1142 set.
3. How do I get the .ir file created by IR (in 2 above) into RM or KM? Perhaps I don't even need to.
4. If I do, how do I get the corrected data back into IR (or into a .ir file) for uploading to the 9910?

You can't. IR files cannot be used by RM or KM. Furthermore, the built-in setup codes are not accessible via the JP1 tools since they are in the remotes ROM and we only deal with the EEPROM.

Check the File Section to see if there's an exisiting upgrade for your Hughes device, and make sure to read JP1 - Just How Easy Is It document.
