Device upgrade from old KM\Download from IR to new KM

Hi all,

I have my upgrades made with old version of KM (5.00) that I would like to change with latest KM.

My problem is:
- When I did the upgrades with old KM I had an italian version of Excel, so I was forced to change all the functions to italian. Now I have a PC with english excel and the old files don't work.
- I have the .txt files created at that time but latest KM don't open them

Is there a way to download my current config from IR and move it to KM so I can change it there?

I don't think version 5 of KM had the SAVE macro yet did it, so you probably had to save complete spreadsheet files. There's no way to port these files to the current KM, the best you can do is try to cut & paste the relevant data.

It's probably a better idea to see if someone else has saved an upgrade file for your devices in the file section, then use those as a starting point.

If you look at your upgrades in IR, you can see what EFCs are assigned to each button, which might help you customize any downloaded upgrades back to how you had them.

The LOAD and SAVE functions were added in KM v5.03; prior to that upgrades were saved by saving the entire spreadsheet as an .xls file. Is it those files that don't work with your English version of Excel? If so, zip them up and email them to me (use the email button below) and I'll see what can be done with them.

Those .txt files are probably saved IR files.

Hi Mark,

I just sent the files.

They are version 5.04, so I used to save the full xls file. As I said, I was forced to rewrite the formulas using the italian equivalent, so now that I have an english version of excel they don't work.

I have also sent you a txt file that was saved from a KM file for my Pioneer 626 and my 7560. I havr tried to load it in the latest KM but it doesn't work.

I got it to load but it appears to not contain any function information and therefore no button information either. However, one of the .xls files was for the same device so the .txt file I sent you should be ok.
