Have 8810w ready, but, what to do with text file?????

Post by lefty01 »

I have a URC 8810w, I have succesfully uploaded the info from the remote to the PC. I need to program a Fortec Star remote code into the 8810, but all I got from the forums is a text file. I have read a lot of How-to's but none touches on the subject.
How can I convert a Fortec star ....txt file into an IR file.
This is and extract of the file ....

You need to load that Fortec file into KM (or RM), change the selected remote to your model, verify/edit the function assignments to buttons, and then copy & paste the resulting upgrade code (and protocol code if required) over to IR to be uploaded to the remote. The process is easy and is exactly what's explained in the link I provided, specifically Section 5: How Do You Load an Upgrade.
