sony str-de445

Post by alfmatz »

Does anyone have a file that will work for a sony STR-DE445 or replace a remotecontrol sony RM-U304 delivered with the receiver? Or know of one in the archives that will work with it? I did a quick search and tried several sony files, but no luck.
i need only vol+, vol-, power and change between cd, dvd, tuner.

THanks in advance.

You may have already looked in the JP1 Audio Files, which is where I saw 4 Sony Files that you may have already tried:

STR-DE635, STR-DE885, STR-750, or STR-DA90ESG
(you may need to use right-click on the above links then pick 'save target as' to download them as they are all .txt files)

If you have a one-for-all remote, you have probably already tried the following setup codes: 1058 1158 1258 0158 0474. If these did not work, you can fill out a short page on their site to request further info on that receiver to see if they have a code they can upgrade your OFA remote with (you may have to send your OFA remote to them to do the upgrade though)

If the standard Sony setup codes had no buttons that worked, then the STR-DE885 or STR-750, will be your best bet to try first. These are for the alternate Sony device code ( Sony 15, device=48 ) -- having nothing to do with a setup code number.

The last link for the DA-90ESG is for the very few Sony receivers that have a G as the last character in their model number and uses a 455 KHz IR carrier frequency.
