RemoteMaster close on Upload to remote

Try select Remote -> Interface -> JP1.X Serial

No, that won't work. You must have this JP1 EEPROM adapter:

AND some sort of serial cable with the appropriate signals (not sure if your Startech is appropriate), preferably FTDI. I recommend this one:
