Aiwa AV-D55 5.1CH button

Post by rdssparker »

For this device i can use the AV-D75 codes for all buttons except for the 5.1ch button on the remote. I have a RS 15-2116, and this is the last learned button i have on the remote. Once i can figure out the code for it then i can switch it to an Extender. However when i learn this button from the original remote it doesn't give all the info that is normally given from a learned command. In IR under Learned Signals it shows
Protocol: Gap-578-1300-42?
Device: 120
Sub-dev: 224
OBC: 232
Hex: <shows nothing>
EFC: <shows nothing>
Misc: 78.E0.F0.5D.A0.3

under Raw Data it shows
Frequency: 37914
Sent once when key is pressed:

Code: Select all

+9018 -4496 +578 -556 +578 -556 +578 -556 +578 -1664 +578 -1664 +578 -1664 +578 -1664 +578 -556 +578 -556 +578 -556 +578 -556 +578 -556 +578 -556 +578 -1664 +578 -1664 +578 -1664 +578 -556 +578 -556 +578 -556 +578 -556 +578 -1664 +578 -1664 +578 -1664 +578 -1664 +578 -1664 +552 -1268 +578 -1664 +578 -1664 +578 -1664 +578 -556 +578 -1664 +578 -556 +578 -556 +578 -556 +578 -556 +578 -556 +578 -556 +578 -1664 +578 -556 +578 -1664 +578 -1664 +578 -1664 +552 -23678 +5142 -8346 +578 -93756 +2372 -11142 +578 -93756 +1950 -11538 +578 -93756 +578 -1664 +552 -23678
It's just frustrating that i've figured out all the rest of my learned codes but am stumped on this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

I don't have an answer for you (that decode looks strange), but it would help to know what protocol/device/subdevice the other buttons use.

The rest of the buttons use
Protocol:Aiwa
Dev: 120
Sub-Dev: none

Which is the same used on the Aiwa AV-D75, it just doesn't have this particular button.

Thanks

Scott,

Try a key move using EFC 077. It looks pretty much like Aiwa protocol , device 120, sub-device 0, OBC 23 to me. Very much like NEC1 only it has and additional 5 sub-device bits and 5 sub-device complement bits.

{564,38k}<1,-1|1,-3>(16,-8,D:8,S:5,~D:8,~S:5,F:8,~F:8,1,-42,(16,-8,1,-165)*) using John's new protocol description notation.

Did you try relearning the signal?

I manually decoded it. It is Aiwa protocol, device 120, like the others and it is OBC number 23.

Notice that -1268 in the middle. That is a strange error. I wouldn't expect it to reproduce if you relearned the signal. It is enough to make my decode software reject the Aiwa decode.

Just want to start off by saying thanks for all the help.

I have tried to re-learn the signal each time the info changes slightly.
Usually the same info just parts missing. For instance, sometimes it won't show the sub device, but mostly it won't show the OBC. Took me 6 tries to get the OBC.

I'm at work now but I'll definitely be trying this when I get home.

Thanks again
