protocol-builder v3.01 available!

Post by Mark Pierson »

The latest version of the protocol-builder spreadsheet (v3.01) is available.

It now supports all known JP1 remote processors, though support for the P8/740 and M6805 is not fully implemented or debugged at this time.

Many thanks to Jason Mitchell for the P8/740 support and Mike England for the M6805 support.

Changes include:
  • Corrected decoder paste error in VB code.
  • Corrected problem with decoder not recognizing P8/740 protocols.
  • Fixed P8/740 & M6805-C9 problem with pf2_3 flag, and problems
    with blank burst values.

I'm using Excel 2003 and it opens protocol-builder-LI-LO_Matrix.xls with error messages about the square brackets in the nameing of the worksheets. Is this spreedsheet completely just text entries?

Yes, it's just text entries. I'll try to fix this for the next release. Are you able to see the contents?

Yes it looks fine actually. Probably Excel doesn't like brackets in worksheet names because those names can be referenced in formulas where brackets might be used for calculation order and grouping.
