want to buy URC-6131 old pvr style remote

Does anyone have an old style 6131 remote they would like to sell? Mine is starting to go out and I'd like to buy a replacement.

Please send me a PM if you have one you are willing to sell.

Thanks

After reading another thread, a user found a power cycle to be OBC 203 but I had tried entering that but RM set it to be under NEC1-210:109 and it didn't work (though the light on the front of the receiver flashes). I saw that other buttons used 210:108 and when I switched it, it now cycles the ...

non-discrete power for Onkyo TX-SR605

I just bought an Onkyo TX-SR605 A/V receiver (incredible receiver BTW) and would like to program the power button on my 6131 remote to cycle the power on and off. The original remote only has a single power on/off button but all the Onkyo upgrade files for the older receivers seem to only offer ...

Ok. I found the problem. When I was looking up the code for each button, I was looking in the EFC column instead of the OBC column. I now have my TiVo controlling the Viewsat properly.

Again, thanks for all your help. You guys are the best.

Following the same procedure as before but it isn't working this time. Perhaps someone can tell me if I'm doing anything wrong.

I edit the nec1.irp file changing the Device line to "Device=32.255" then run MakeHex to output the pronto hex codes. Do I need to change any other information in the irp ...

I have a Viewsat VS2000 Ultra receiver and the upgrade file I was using is the Viewsat VS2000.

Based on the information you have found and posted above, it seems that it is very unlikely that I will find another device that uses this code set and that it will also already be in the TiVo database. I ...

In the upgrade file, it says "Devices:,NEC1,32,255,,,,,,,,," so using the first xls file, I filtered to Protocol as NEC1, Dev1 as 32 and Dev2 as 255 returning just a single entry. Cable Group, Sat Mode, Setup code 1232.

The 2nd xls file didn't have this entry so now I need to read some manuals to ...

Another device that uses NEC1 protocol, device 32

So I have a new satellite receiver that I want my TiVo to control. Last time , I manually added the IR codes for the receiver into the TiVo database and I am going thru the same procedure again when a thought occured.

"This new receiver uses the NEC1 protocol, device 32. Is it possible that there ...

Actually it is quite simple once you have the proper IR codes.

Be aware that I have only tested this on my own Series 1 Stand Alone TiVo. I don't know if it works on a DirecTiVo or a Series 2 as I don't have one or know someone that does.

This modification requires that you have FTP and shell ...

REC button requiring double press

I just noticed that I have to press the REC button twice for it to send the signal. The first press doesn't to anything (red light doesn't blink and the device doesn't respond) but the second press sends the signal properly. This happens with all the TV/PVR/DVD/VCR device sets.

I have a 6131nw PVR ...

johnsfine: Thank you very much for your assistance. Your instructions were perfect. I've converted the codes I need and now my TiVo is controlling the sat receiver perfectly. It changes the channels fast and without screwing up a single digit.

This site has been such a great resource before getting ...

wow. Thanks for the information. I will work on it this weekend and let you know how it ends up. I knew the way the Palm was doing it was difficult and possibly wrong. First time I tried entering the codes into the tivo database, it hosed the database to the point the tivo wouldn't boot up. That ...

Need raw hex of IR codes

I have a Pansat 3500S satellite receiver that I want my TiVo to control but the TiVo database doesn't have a code set for this Pansat receiver.

Is it possible to get the long hex codes for the buttons 0-9 and Enter from my remote (6131) or from a utility or even build them manually? Once I have ...
