Does anyone have an old style 6131 remote they would like to sell? Mine is starting to go out and I'd like to buy a replacement.
Please send me a PM if you have one you are willing to sell.
Thanks

non-discrete power for Onkyo TX-SR605
I just bought an Onkyo TX-SR605 A/V receiver (incredible receiver BTW) and would like to program the power button on my 6131 remote to cycle the power on and off. The original remote only has a single power on/off button but all the Onkyo upgrade files for the older receivers seem to only offer ...

Following the same procedure as before but it isn't working this time. Perhaps someone can tell me if I'm doing anything wrong.
I edit the nec1.irp file changing the Device line to "Device=32.255" then run MakeHex to output the pronto hex codes. Do I need to change any other information in the irp ...

I have a Viewsat VS2000 Ultra receiver and the upgrade file I was using is the Viewsat VS2000.
Based on the information you have found and posted above, it seems that it is very unlikely that I will find another device that uses this code set and that it will also already be in the TiVo database. I ...

In the upgrade file, it says "Devices:,NEC1,32,255,,,,,,,,," so using the first xls file, I filtered to Protocol as NEC1, Dev1 as 32 and Dev2 as 255 returning just a single entry. Cable Group, Sat Mode, Setup code 1232.
The 2nd xls file didn't have this entry so now I need to read some manuals to ...

REC button requiring double press
I just noticed that I have to press the REC button twice for it to send the signal. The first press doesn't to anything (red light doesn't blink and the device doesn't respond) but the second press sends the signal properly. This happens with all the TV/PVR/DVD/VCR device sets.

johnsfine: Thank you very much for your assistance. Your instructions were perfect. I've converted the codes I need and now my TiVo is controlling the sat receiver perfectly. It changes the channels fast and without screwing up a single digit.

wow. Thanks for the information. I will work on it this weekend and let you know how it ends up. I knew the way the Palm was doing it was difficult and possibly wrong. First time I tried entering the codes into the tivo database, it hosed the database to the point the tivo wouldn't boot up. That ...
