I have tried many of them. How else would I have been able to do what I described in my first post? :)

The power button works and some of the numbers work wrong, but that's all I can ever get.

Sony DVD / SACD player code.

I have a DVP-NS500V which is an early generation SONY DVD player which also plays SACD. I just got an older model used receiver to replace my other even older model receiver, and I updated my Radio Shack JP1 remote for the different receiver. Worked great, found a .txt file, loaded it, updated my ...

ledan,

I don't think Harmony has anything like the RF extender box that came with your 9910. Are you using it? If not you might as well have an 8910, right?

I'm using a 9910 in my movie room where my components are housed in a built-in wall Middle Atlantic rack off to the side. I bought a 9910 ...

Well, so far I'm very impressed with this discussion board and the ability of people here to point me in the right direction with this stuff. I also know that if I find confusing stuff it's to be expected, I understand the difficulty of coordinating all these efforts into a single site and always ...

Just FYI, we use an incremental numbering scheme for all JP1 software, so a "version 4" would be more up to date than a "version 3". With that in mind, you can probably figure out for yourself that IR v6.00 is more recent than v5.15, which in turn is more recent than v4.02.

You see how it works ...

Of course! I click a download of a file labelled as HTML at 1K with an ambiguous description to get a 500K zip file for the application! --smacks forehead--- of course! :) I certainly hope the rest of this JP1 stuff is not so straightforward.

Now if only I could determine which version is the ...

Where the heck is IR?

I'm just getting started, I can't find IR anywhere, and I've got conflicting reports of where it is supposed to be. I joined the Yahoo group (Oh how I hate yahoo groups!). The "for beginners" link http://www.hifi-remote.com/jp1/help2/ says " IR203.zip (or latest), which you can download from the ...
