I tried the 2001/2002 trick and it worked. For some reason using the 0618 code didn't seem to overwrite the built-in code.

I have two DirecTIVOs and I will be using 15-2117's for both of them. I want to set a different unit code (remote address) on each unit, so they won't control each other.

I have a 15-2117 with the extender 2 installed. I have two problems I can't get past.

1) How do I use the Set_lcd to change the labels for each device button, so it will say TIVO instead of VCR, etc.

2) I have a Sony receiver and I want to use advanced codes, so when I press SAT it will change the ...

I just bought two 15-2117's on clearance. I want to use one downstairs with its command center and one upstairs with its command center (IR blaster). Will the downstairs one control the upstairs one and vice/versa? Or is each remote married to its own command center.
