I'm not sure if its the time of day or the computer that I use during the day, but I've been opening the page (automatic login) and it will say
View posts since last visit (1)
and when I click on it it will say
No topics or posts met your search criteria
although there are new posts.
I tried deleteing my temporary internet files. I only have one instance of the IE browser open. (at least here)
Is there anything else I can do? |

You can try logging off the website and then logging back in. Usually these issues are the result of bad cookies. _________________ Mark |

Perhaps exiting and then restarting IE after deleting temp files would work?
Also did you try the Refresh button, perhaps it'll do the right thing reloading the page? _________________ Liz

I tried logging out. I tried clearing temp files. It happens on my work computer only. I'm fine from home on all computers. |

Hmmm, I see it too. It said 9 new posts. When I clicked, it returned 7 thread titles. _________________ Liz

I think it always does that.
That just means that the 9 new posts are in the 7 threads returned (more than 1 new post in some threads)
At the moment I get 21 new posts in 9 threads - which is correct.
I think Vicky is describing something different - ie no threads returned at all - which is definitely wrong, and something it never does to me.
Did you try holding in CTRL and/or SHIFT while clicking Reload/Refresh ?
That can sometimes help.
Also when you cleared temp files - did you also delete cookies ?
Mine live at:
Code: | C:\Documents and Settings\Jim Dunn\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files |
obviously your path will be different.
My cookie is called:
Code: | Cookie:jim dunn @ hifi-remote.com/forums |
If you didn't already, maybe try deleting yours to see if it helps |

Vicky, this is your boss's way to tell you to stop cruising the web while you are supposed to be working |

Try disabling automatic login. Then set a link/favourite/bookmark/whatever depending upon browser to:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/search.php?search_id=newposts
This takes you to the new posts bit straight off but then prompts you to log in. If your browser supports remembering passwords then let it do so for this site and see if that works. |

My issue was a problem with the IP. My boss had to call them because he couldn't stay logged into payroll. When payroll was fixed, so was the JP1 site. |
