I have seen the
D-Link DSM-520 in the Misc files. Perhaps that's it. |

If you click on those links, you can see what folder they are in.
General rule of thumb, when there isn't an appropiate folder for something, check the Misc folder, or use the SEARCH button. _________________ Rob

now how does that help me in programming my 8910 as there are no ir files for ir exe to work with and the text file saysinput error i want it so I can just downlosad it to to the 8910
howw does any of it get changed to an ir format anyway
and figuring out how to narrow the search parameters so not to get 1000's of hits on a specific phrase is frustrating _________________ Michelle L Porter |

If it is a text file, it is usually meant to be loaded into the Keymap-Master excel spreadsheet. From there there will be 2 sections, the device upgrade and the protocol upgrade (protocol upgr might be empty). You need to cut/paste those values into IR.
If it is a .rmdu file, it is mean to be loaded into the RemoteMaster java program. From there, you will also cut/paste the device and possibly protocol upgrades into IR.

I used this link:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=search
and searched for "dlink"
The results seemed manageable. |

and figuring out how to narrow the search parameters so not to get 1000's of hits on a specific phrase is frustrating | From the sound of this and your other post, I would strongly recommend that you go and re-read one or more of the beginners' readme's and figure out what the various programs do. _________________ Beginners - Read this thread first
