|
|
I just started messing around with JP1. I think my head is going to explode. Wow there is a lot out there.
I have an RCU810 and I have successfully programmed it. But I tried programming the sleep button and the device buttons and it wouldn't take.
The main things I want to achieve are programming the device buttons to automatically go to the proper input and I wanted the sleep button to be my commercial advance button on my replaytv.
Any help would be appreciated.

Are you trying to program SLEEP as part of an upgrade or by using keymoves or learning? SLEEP can typically only be programmed as part of an upgrade.
The easiest way to handle putting input selects on the device buttons is to use the RCU810's extender. To do it without the extender, you would need to use the device combiner, because you can only program functions to these buttons as part of an upgrade. _________________ Rob

Thanks for the quick reply.
I tried programming the sleep button as part of an upgrade. I used the replaytv upgrade and programmed the sleep button to be commercial advance. It showed up under the key moves tab.
I am unfamiliar "extender". I'll do some reading. But just knowing it is possible is a big help so I don't feel like I am wasting my time trying to make something work that is impossible. |

I just checked the button map used in the RCU810 and SLEEP isn't included, so you will probably need to use the extender to program that button also. _________________ Rob
