This evening I took the time to modify the D10 file and added all the missing functions that are on the RC24 remote that comes with the H20 receiver. I used my learning remote to add all the keys except "format", which was the one I really wanted, of course. This one wouldn't learn cleanly, so I had to try codes until I found the right one. Along the way I found a "discrete off" code. There is probably a "discrete on" code, but I didn't need it and didn't want to type all the codes over again with the receiver off.

I also found a couple of codes to beware of, and put a warning in the uploaded file. They reset the memory of the receiver and require a complete resetup of the unit.
enjoy,
Todd F.

Nice work, Todd.

It's always risky business conducting a code search, but rarely irrevocably so.

Regarding the discrete ON, I would make two observations:

(1) you need not do your code search by using the "set-X-X-X" technique, which is indeed a PITA, but you could just build an upgrade using unused EFCs/OBCs and then quickly run through testing these buttons;

(2) Examine your KM (or RM file). There is the ability in each to sort by OBC (in KM, go to the Code List worksheet and sort by OBC, in RM, simply click on the top of the OBC column on the functions page and the list will sort by OBC), where you can identify gaps, and thereby, likely candidates for the missing function.

P.S. I'm not so sure about your discrete OFF code, either, since it's the same as the code for "6" (?!?)

P.P.S. Having looked at that file, I am aghast at the size of the protocol upgrade. 184 bytes is simply ENORMOUS!

If this is a unit that is likely to become more widespread (let's see, Direct TV, HDTV, yeah, I think so), it might be worth an expert's while to see if this protocol can be compressed a bit.

Discrete off OBC for the H20 should be 129, not 006. The EFC is 006.
