I'm looking for something equivalent to how IR does it.
I need to maintain two RDF directories RDF117 and RDF121. I once before ran RM using RDF117. When I wanted to switch to the latest and greatest, I had to reinstall RM to start clean. I see two refs to RDF in the html readme file, but they're not about how to switch or I don't see it Surprised .

You'll need to manually edit the RDFPath= entry in the RemoteMaster.properties file in the RM directory.

That info is stored in the RemoteMaster.properties file.

You can edit that with an ordinary text editor (I have it open in WordPad at the moment).

For experimenting with RM, you might consider having two copies of RemoteMaster.properties and some .bat files to switch them around and launch RM.

I would also be a little cautious with running RM with one set of RDF's and IR with another set. You could have some strange surprises depending on the differences.

On the other hand I am always running two versions, current and prior just in case someone has a complaint or question about changes in the current. I do it with a batch file the renames the 2 directories so I don't have to mess with RM and IR settings.

Thanks guys. I didn't know Mark knows RM Very Happy
As ususal, great tips.
This is a temporary state for me. I have to get the RDFs in synch since I did some fiddling in an older version and remotes are undergoing some revisions (really a permanent state of affairs here Very Happy ).
Nils, I'm mindful of keeping it all on common RDF at one time, but I'm sure I'll goof up at some point.
