On my URC-8550 Topline8, 43 keys are listed in the KM 'Buttons' sheet
In the KM 'Key Map' sheet, 59 keys are listed
The extra 16 are as follows:
ESC, SCAN, SHIFT-UP, SHIFT-DOWN, SHIFT-LEFT, SHIFT-RIGHT, SHIFT
PHANTOM-11, PHANTOM-23, PHANTOM-34, PHANTOM-36, A, B,
SETUP, LIGHT, HOME THEATRE
Now I understand that these 16 keys are accessed using Key Moves,
as they are all marked by a '@' symbol
Obviously some of these keys are truly 'phantom', as there is no key
that I can press (such as PHANTOM-11, of course )
However, I can press ESC and SHIFT-LEFT, for example
I was expecting to be able to program a key move on keys such as this,
in order to control a piece of equipment.
So, a specific example is to use the ESC key to send an EXIT function
to a device as follows:
Code: | Bound Bound Device Device Setup HEX EFC
Device Key Button Type Code Cmd
TV ESC TV TV 0522 $27 251 |
Why is nothing sent when I press the ESC key? (No LED activity) |

Just a guess, but it's likely a restricted button that cannot be mapped, even with a key move. _________________ Mark |
