Note I just bought AHPro to "play" with, I mean it costs less than dinner and a movie. (I use Homeseer)
The CM15A has a GOOD (oddly enough) RF sending capability. FIRST you must add a security remote to AHP and LEARN it's security code. THEN AHP can arm the DS7000 by sending a RF command from the CM15A.
Lots of info HERE: http://www.x10community.com/forums/index.php?board=95.0
Again, the DS7000 cannot be armed via IR or the powerline. Only using a RF security remote or at the console (or with AHP - which just learns and copies a security remote).
Personally I really like my DS7000 for the same reasons you posted.

PS: Note the RF receiving ability of the CM15A stinks, but many have had great success with minor antenna mods (add a few inches of wire) - see the above forum. When the CM15A can pick up your security sensors (DS10, Motion detector) you can do neat things - like open a door turn on/off lights based on dusk/dark. |
