5. Do you have a JP1 cable? No; remote can be upgraded via sound??
6. Still have original remote? No
7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? Yes; Audio/0186; power button only
10. Learning remote question? Yes; Remote not entering learning mode?? 9-7-5
11. Have you tried the JP1 Lookup Tool? Yes. Don't quite comprehend it yet. Sorry for being newbie.

Wanted to post an update. I was able to reset my 6n1 using 9-8-7 I think it was, and teach most of the buttons to it from a harmony remote.

Would still love to figure out how to update this thing though!
