my shnoop remotes came yesterday. Their memory is empty and I easily uploaded Cisco RNG200 device upgrades into them with my JP 1.3 USB cable.
Today, I saw this similar deal:
https://www.tanga.com/deals/58307ed54784/2-pack-universal-atlas-5-device-remote-control
Five bucks for 2 "B02" remotes plus three bucks shipping.
I like the soft backlight in these and they seem sturdy enough to take a few falls on the hardwood floor. Well, at this price, who cares? |

That picture is very 'flattering'. You know, like for the cover of Cosmo or something.
But I think these have the same thickness as my father-in-law's FiOS remote. That's the only other atlas-style remote I've picked up and held. |

I picked up a couple, too. They're the same as the black ones, but silver on the front. The picture makes it look kind of white, but they're more silver. The back is black. |

I assume not because the model number on the back is 1056B01 with no "L". The manual doesn't mention it either. |

The latest offer (from Tanga) is said to be for a 1056B02. We have seen B01 and B03 versions, but not B02. I wonder if B02 is accurate and if so, is it a JP2 or JP1.4 remote? |

Well, when I try the learning steps, the remote acts like it learned a new command. However, RMIR does not show any learned signals in learning memory. Now, what I didn't mention before is that when I connected to the remote, RMIR asks me if it is one of four remotes. I haven't found out what the difference is between the four choices for my purposes:
Atlas 5 Day URC-1055 JP 1.3 3033
Atlas 5 Day URC-11055 JP 1.3 3033
Atlas OCAP URC-1056 JP 1.3 (Silver)
Atlas OCAP URC-1056 JP 1.3 (Black) |
