Hi, My apple TV 1 remote has died, can I replace it with a One for all or similar? I have a Sony blu ray, TV and AV receiver, so perhaps the replacement remote could control all four pieces of kit? Many thanks.

Well you can control the AppleTV if you have a UEI remote and the appropriate cable. We have seen AppleTV upgrades.

I think the RCA RCP05B might have control natively, but that would be a total guess on my part.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

As I understand it, Apple TV uses the same commands as other Apple equipment, and the following remotes have the 01E0 PID executor.
Code:

I think the only issue is getting the TV to go into standby, but it will do it by itself if it is left unused.
Also, any newer OneForAll should work.
