Just to double check:
When you use the AquaLookAndFeel, there are exactly 2 choices for the "Files of type:" drop-down:
"RemoteMaster device upgrade files"
"KeyMapMaster device upgrade files"
Out of curiosity, are there any exception in rmaster.err, that look like:

sorry Greg, my last post was a bad
1- as stated
2 - empty at first look but filled up at second loading of RM - have posted .err file in diagnostics under RM 0.89.jar rmaster.err
