I have the RCRP05B remote with the extender and I am using all of the devices including phantoms (8). If I am correct the device multiplexer just allows you to put one of the devices on any other key. Is someone working on the extender to be able to add more devices? Is this possible? I have 1551 memory for devices but can't use it. If I get a 9th device I'm out of luck. Thanks for the info! _________________ thanks, just4fn |

The multiplexer allows you to change the setup code on the fly. It gets really complex when you need keymoves on a multiplexed device. I wrote an extender for the 8820N family of remotes that allowed you to add "keymove buckets" so that when you multiplexed you could swap out the keymoves too, but as far as I know, nobody ever put that into a working remote because the 8820 already had 8 devices + 2 phantoms so the having 5 extra imaginary devices with the swapable sets of keymoves didn't seem to float anyones boat. |
