1. Device: Amazon Fire TV Omni (Model 4K43M600A)
2. Type of device: TV
3. Year: 2021
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: URC6690B00
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? Yes
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? Yes, Nothing Found
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes, Nothing Found
9. Partially working setup code? No
10. Learning remote question? No
11. Have you tried the JP1 Lookup Tool? Yes, Nothing Found
12. If you have a OARUSB04G, URC-6440 (or similar) remote, have you tried simpleset.com? Yes, But site is not working.
Additional Info: I use a Cogeco TiVo cable box and its remote (URC7020BC0) has a code (1246) for a TCL TV that works. During a web search I found a post where the poster believed that the Amazon TV was manufactured by TCL. It appears he was correct.
Also, I tried learning with the URC6690B00 and could only get it to do Power On/Off. Mute and Volume would not learn.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Just a thought, I just recently bought a Sony TV that has a weird remote. Out of the box it is IR, but once it is "paired" to the TV, it is RF (bluetooth I believe). If yours works like this, try "unpairing" the original remote, then learning the codes. I'd paired the remote at some point midway through trying to make an upgrade for the TV, that caused a lot of frustration because suddenly I could learn no more codes! |

Hi n8nagel, thanks for your reply. Your pointer worked! It took me some time to figure out how to unpair my remote (FCC ID: PUW-2K19-YKF470). No info was available with the TV's documentation but I found the remote's user manual on the FCC site (https://fcc.report/FCC-ID/PUW-2K19-YKF470). Thanks again! |

Didn't make an upgrade and don't have a file to post as I would need to dig out an old PC with a serial port... Sorry. |

So it's possible that my posted upgrade would have worked if you had been able to try it. Thanks for the update. |

I'm confused, you posted here looking for an upgrade and you said that you do have a JP1 cable. Then Dave posted an upgrade for you and now you say you have no way to test it. If that's the case, why did you post looking for an upgrade? _________________ Rob
