Hi everyone! I haven't needed to do anything to my remote for the past 6 years ( I checked my last post!). I'm happy to find that this forum is still active.
I am trying to get RMIR working on my new PC and I keep getting "no remotes found." It's Windows 10. My JP1 cable is a serial cable that I have plugged into a Prolific USB to serial converter.
I confirmed that my prolific driver is 3.2.0.0 with a date of 7/31/2007. I can find it in the device manager as COM5.
This setup worked several years ago with the same hardware EXCEPT for the PC, which is obviously new.
What am I missing here? |

I should also have added that when I try to download from the remote, the "CBL" button my RCRP05B blinks. Also it blinks when I plug the cable into it. |

Turns out I have a bad remote. I have three of these RCRP05Bs. Two of them work but this one won't connect. The remote works properly to control all of my devices but I can't download the data off of it. |
