Would it be possible to add a function to RMIR to test the buttons on the attached remote? I'm thinking something along the lines of the the diagram you see on the "Layout" tab in Devices, where the buttons would show pressed/released as you operated them. Also would be useful for locating stuck keys (which I think I have more than one of).
I confess to having no idea how difficult this would be to implement, or if it's even possible using the JP1 interface.
Or maybe this tool already exists somewhere?
Thanks.

Make any upgrade with a function assigned to every key. If your remote has an LED or backlighting, that will show when a button is pressed. If it doesn't, just look at the IR window of the remote through your smartphone camera and you'll see the IR LED flashing. |

To answer the original question, it is not possible to have RMIR trigger the remote to send a signal. _________________ Rob
