I am trying to get this remote's F12 code to work on my RCU810. I can learn all of the codes fine, but when I try and create a new RM file, it doesn't work on the remote. Any and all help would be appreciated.
here is a link to the file in the diagnosis area:

Thanks,

I was hoping that you had loaded your IR file with the learns, but it appears that you loaded your RM file. Without being able to see the learns, there's no point in looking at the RM file. _________________ Rob

I thought about posting my IR file, when I posted the RM file. I am on the road until Thursday night. I'll post it when I get home.
Thanks,

Rob,
Here is the IR file with all of the learned F-12 commands:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=5879
Also, I have learned the volume +/- and mute to the CD player function (SAT). I have never made key moves in order to allow the volume keys to be controlled by another device. How would I do that, or can you do it for me on my IR file?
Thanks again,
Dan |

The learned codes all show a device code of 2, yet in RM you have left the device code blank, which means it will default to zero.
However, some of your learns also show a unit code value of 1, which means you will need 2 upgrades to replicate all of these learns. For the learns which show the unit code as 0, just set the device code to 2. For the learns that show the unit code as 1, you will need to set the device code to 9. I know this is counter-intuitive, but there's a difference between how IR.exe is reporting the codes and RM requires them to be entered for this protocol. _________________ Rob

I'll give it a try later tonight and let you know if it fixed the problem.
Thanks,

Rob,
Just adding the device code (2) on the setup page fixed the problem. It's funny how it's usually something simple and obvious that is casuing the problem.
Thanks again for all of your help.

Did that work for the functions where with a sub-device of 1 also? _________________ Rob
