|
|
1. Device: RCA DECK215R
2. Type of device: TV/DVD Combo
3. Year: unknown
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: many (trying OARUSB40G)
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? yes, many
6. Still have original remote? yes, but it doesn't work (verified with IR Widget)
7. Checked the file section? yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? no
9. Partially working setup code? no
10. Learning remote question? no
11. Have you tried the JP1 Lookup Tool? yes
12. If you have a OARUSB04G, URC-6440 (or similar) remote, have you tried simpleset.com? I didn't think simplset.com was still working?
I inherited this thing with a house that I bought, it's mounted to the wall in one of the rooms. would like to see it work. I can power on via the buttons on the TV and play DVDs so I know the device works.
I have an RCA remote that supposedly worked with the TV but it does not work. I tried my IR widget and gets nothing in IR coming from the remote.
There is no model number on the remote _________________ this JP1 stuff is a sickness! |

There are 2 RCA TV combo units in the file section.
One is for an RCA TV/DVD combo 20F510TD, which has 2 upgrades, one for the TV side and another for the DVD side. The other is for an RCA 27F500TDV TV-DVD-VCR. _________________ Rob

I tried those, they didn't work
(actually I didn't get to the DVD-side part since the TV side didn't work at all) _________________ this JP1 stuff is a sickness! |

Just tried simplset, doesn't like the remote. says the file is wrong. (even after a full reset)
DVD 20695 and 20821 show up in red (code not in remote) when using RMIR _________________ this JP1 stuff is a sickness! |

No go on the one you found either dave
FWIW the URL on the remote says that it is a URC6540 and the simpleset site is looking for a URC6440 (at least from the instructions) so maybe that's my issue with simplset? _________________ this JP1 stuff is a sickness! |

Looks like a Chinese Walmart RCA/Magnavox, RC5 device 0. Try this: http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=25654 _________________ URC-8820 x2, URC-10820N, Insignia NS-RC05A-11 x2, RCA RCRP05B, Potenza ST ADB, OARI06G, URC-7980, OARUSB04G, Nevo C2 x3, AOC 67100BA1-017-R, onn URC-3660, Insignia NS-RMTSNY17, IRWidget |

that one did the trick! I haven't tested all of the functions yet but I can turn it on and make the volume go up and down so that's a start
Thanks! _________________ this JP1 stuff is a sickness! |

Sorry to dig up an old thread but any clue where this might be in a FireTV remote? All of the RCA selections didn't work. _________________ this JP1 stuff is a sickness! |

I'm assuming a FireTV remote isn't a UEI remote, right? So we can't feed you UEI setup codes, so are you looking for other band names? A quick look at jp1-master to see which bands give RC-5 dev 0 gives this:
Advent
Cary
Envision
Goodmans
Hauppauge
Hyundai
Insignia
LG
Loewe
Magnavox
NAD
NEC
Norcent
Palsonic
Philips
Pioneer
Prima
Reoc
SysMaster
Telefunken
Viewsonic _________________ Rob
