Sorry for the delay... I have been dealing with some medical issues over the last couple of weeks.
>> both of the remotes that I posted are USB remotes <<
As mentioned I finally received the OARUSB04G remote.
I used the keypad interface (terrible compared to the old OFA remotes) to set it up initially for three of my primary devices.
Connecting the usb cable allows me to see the "settings.bin" file. How do I now import that to RMIR (or RM) so that I can do some fine tuning or do I need to start from scratch and build a completely new "settings.bin" file?
Thanks in advance,
Beverly |

You don't need to do anything with the settings.bin file. That is handled transparently by RMIR. When you have the remote connected with its USB lead and RMIR open, just press the Download button on the RMIR toolbar (or Remote > Download from the menus) and it will download exactly as you would expect if it had a JP1 connector. Upload works similarly.
Since no-one else has mentioned it, let me also mention that there is an extender for the OAUUSB04G that, among other things, expands it to 12 devices and 6 activities rather than the 4 devices and 2 activities of the unextended remote. _________________ Graham |
