I get another diferent remote Model URC6131N , it have the 6 hole in, I open the remote and add the 6 pins perfectly..

I am getting , NO response from Remote , Make sure your Interface us plugged ibto JP1 properly..

iS UN-BELIVABLE I AM getting so many erros on diferent remote, I think JP1 cable is Bad,

Remote i have been try to re-program is:
RS15-2133
URC6131N

Also i try to re-program Comcast and i get a response JP1 won't work on these need to use a JP2,
so i am clear with that..

But I can't read those, 2 remote , As far they are compatible with JP1 cable as ,I have been compare to the list for all remote for JP1..

can some one help me please,,.

I have been read some post the JP1 cable from DIY Gadet are damage.?

Its more than just the 6 pins. This remote needs an EEPROM.

Vickyg2003, I don't want to step on Spyder's thread. I am going do same thing spyder does. I got JP1 cable from DIY also for rs15-2146. But remote has pads under batteries. No way to soldier pins and install batteries. I need to program remote for Spacestar dvb 500. Should I return this remote for another model. I could soldier wires to pads then to pins. Then I could attach jtag. Just need to know if there is a better solution. Tia. :-)

Ccyd, I've done of few of the 6011 mods, but I'm really don't know much about the other modifcations.

I don't believe I've heard of the RS-2146. I just ran through the list of RDF's on my machine and didn't see an RDF for this remote, so you most likely are going to face more challenges than just the hardware.

You might want to search for pogo adapters and post a thread about this particular remote. Do we even know if its JP1 or JP1.x

I found the easiest way to do this, is

1 - buy a model that doesn't need soldering
2 - buy a remote from Rob, with the modifications already done for me.

Hope that helps

Thanks Spyder and vickyg2003.

I'll keep checking back in thread for a reply . Spyder I believe I had a conversation with you about this on your site. But I can't seem to get back to your site.(dvdspider.tk or dvdspider.com)Are those yours? Tia. :-)

thanks vickyg2003

I did all step from frist link, and succesfully programed 15-2133

but going back to URC6131n , I solder the eeprom same as documetitation also hit (SET) 2 times flash light and hit 981 4 times flash ligth..

also make the jump from pin1 to pin 6 with a short wire and still ERROR shows up as fallow:

No response from remote . Make sure your Interface is plugged into JP1 properly.

the JP1 cable i am using is DG-JP1-P02

No Jumper Need 6131n

After checking day by day, hours and hours

jumper no need from JP1 to pin 6 , is not necessary .

by doing this jumper , your will get the error:

"No Response from Remote , Make sure your Interface is plugged into JP1 properly"

Thanks
