I couldn't find any discrete codes for Samsung PN series TVs so I tried all 256 myself and came up with the list attached below sorted by OBC. Includes all functions I could decipher, including all the discrete input select codes and power codes. Hopefully they work for other PN series TVs also.

Just a cross reference note for anyone finding this through a search:
rmdu file for Samsung PN50C550 is here: http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=9526
Thanks for uploading the file
And an observation:
For the codes you have listed as Code: | TV displays “Not Available” warning | - my LG 50PS8 TV does that for buttons that do have a function, but the function is not available in the current operating mode -
for example, CH+ and CH-, and the digit keys, display a "not available" message if pressed while one of the HDMI inputs is currently selected, but are active for channel changing if Tuner inputs are selected.
(Of course, that doesn't mean the message has to mean the same thing on your Samsung... ) |

Like Jim's LG, my Samsung often displays N/A when I'm in the wrong mode for the functions I'm trying to access. _________________ Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.
Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

Thanks Vicky
So, it's possible that those Code: | TV displays “Not Available” warning | do have a meaning, after all.
That doesn't mean it's easy to work out, though - testing multiple unknown signals in all possible modes is less than fun...

Yes it does although I haven't seen those OBC's on other tv's
Looking at another Samsung upgrade I think it might be worth taking another look at these OBC's too.

I was trying to find a discrete that goes directly to a USB input. Looks like it might not exist.
ps. yes, "not available" means it is doing something, but you are not in the correct mode. |

I checked out the above "unavailables". I was looking for that elusive direct to USB discrete, but was unsuccessful. I did determine 2 of them though.
110=SRS
and
121 took me to "my contents" same as 140 "Media P"
