I'm trying to create an upgrade file for a satellite dish position control box by copying learned data into RM from IR.

NEC1
Device 0
Sub Device 95

All the function data is in correctly but any time I try to enter the device or Sub Device numbers, they disappear when I do a file save.

Any help appreciated.

Steve

Which vesion of RM?

Which remote?

Have you tried doing this from a fresh session of RM? Sometimes, RM can get confused if I have opened multiple rdmu files in the same session prior to starting my upgrades.

Care to share your RM file?

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

Known bug in RM. Workaround is to put a leading zero in the subdevice, i.e., 095.

Didn't work. Running RM 1.98beta4. As soon as I do a FILE>SAVE the device/subdevice and parm data go away.

Remote is a URC8910(NEW)

I recently built a new PC and installed the latest versions of RM, KM and IR. Perhaps I should roll back to older versions?

Well, 1.98beta4 is a beta. For me, the latest releasd version (1.97) works fine. I keep the the two different versions in different subdirectories, so the "rollback" consists of starting the 1.97 version instead of the 1.98 version.

Yep, just tried 1.97 and it works just fine. It's been about a year since I messed with this stuff so am a little rusty.

Thanks

RM v1.98beta5 is now available, with a fix for the protocol parameters.
Get it at RM Downloads
