Each extender is custom for the remote is was written for, you can't switch extenders between different remotes (unless the remotes have the same signature).
I check the RS site everyday, I'll post something when they next go on sale.
Did you get some X10 stuff too? _________________ Rob

I see this in the Extenders file section: "Atlas OCAP (1056 and 1056BC)" - does the lack of a "B01" disqualify my remote? That's why I thought the 30xx extender would work for it. Are you saying there is no extender for this remote?
I like your strategy! Keep me coming here, rather than going to the RS site. Are you saying that items on the RS site can go on sale on any day of the week then? I was hoping to make me a reminder to check every Tuesday (for instance) so it doesn't slip my mind and I miss a sale.
I haven't bought that IR543 yet, but I most likely will once I get my remote more or less set up.
Thanks for the continual help! I've been a happy (if invisible) JP1 user for many years now! |

All of the Atlas OCAPs have the same internal signature, so the rdf and extender will work fine with yours (unless it's a heretofore unseen variant, but to date, all of the OCAP 1056s have had signature 30333033) _________________ Beginners - Read this thread first

The key piece of information that you need to have when choosing an extender is your remote's signature, more so than it's model number. If you sig is 30333033, as the Capn suggests, you can use extenders that were written for remotes with that signature.
I use this radioshack.com link to check the prices everyday, so feel free to use it too if you like. _________________ Rob

I use that link too - probably from a prior post of yours (I did find it in the forums here somewhere).
Thanks! |

I got my IR543 yesterday, and I was really happy at how easy it was to get going after the countless hours I spent last weekend setting up my new atlas remote with extender. It's so nice to be able to control my X-10 devices with my jp1! |
