Subject: HDMI switchers
1. device: unknown
2. Type of device: multipleHDMI input, one HDMI output switcher
3. Year: NA
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: URC-7800 Cinema 7
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? Yes
6. Still have original remote? NA
7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? NO
9. Partially working setup code? NO
10. Learning remote question? Any luck that an upgrade could be created?
Hi, I have a friend of mine that has a 1080I TV with one HDMI input. He has multiple satellite receivers he wants to use as input, so he needs to get a remote control HDMI 3 in 1 out HDMI switcher. He currently has a URC-7800 Cinema 7 running Extender 5.
Does anyone know of any upgrade available for any particular HDMI switcher? If not, how likely would it be, if he purchased one of these and tried to make an upgrade out of the 'learned' functions?
Thanks |

Rob, is there an 'device upgrade' for the 5 x 1 switch at Amazon? Or do you think most switches with remotes would successfully convert to an Upgrade? |

Take a look in the file section, but I don't think so. However, as your URC-7800 is a learning remote, you should have no trouble capturing the signals and creating an upgrade yourself. _________________ Rob
