When I try to select "Scientific-Atlanta ER1 (Explorer 3-device)" in Remote Master V1.73 I get a Java Null Pointer Exception. I seem to be able to select other devices without any problems. This is my first time using RM so I can't say if the problem existed in previous versions. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?
It isn't a showstopper for me as I am using a URC8811, but I was just checking it out for a friend. From reading other posts in this forum it sounds like this remote has serious limitations and may not be worth using, but it shouldn't cause this error. |

I think this happens when the upgrade requires a protocol upgrade and there is none written for the microprocessor that is in the remote. I remember version 1.68 had a pop up dialog box that warned that the upgrade is not compatible with the remote, but it's been givng the java error instead since version 1.69. |

Thanks! I tried RM v1.74 and that seems to have been my problem. Now all I need to do is figure out a way around the limitations of this remote. |
