|
|
Hi:
I have an old Sony TV model KV 2144SRP. It works fine with my URC 8910 with code 0000. I've tried to use discrete codes for Video 1 Video 2 (EFC 034, 030) but they don't work (TV-SET-034, TV-SET-030). The discrete Power ON OFF don't work either. Are there any discrete codes for Video 1 - Video 2 for this model?
BTW, to turn ON the TV I have to press CH+, CH- or any number.
Thanks in advance

That's a non-USA model (pretty sure) and it may not support the traditional discretes. There definitely won't be a discrete "Power ON" as such and the normal "Power" will, of course, act as a discrete "Power Off", if it functions.
I have a Sony multi-system remote control at work, and I'll check the codes it uses later today and report back. (unless someone beats me to it) _________________ Just call me Zaphod (or Steve) --- I never should have started using numbers in a screen name but I just can't stop now. |

The multi-system remote that I have uses the same codes for discrete video1, etc as the USA models so I would guess that the processor in your TV model does not support discretes. Sorry.
On another note, the power supplies in the older foreign Sonys were not intended to run 24/7 like the US models so you might want to turn the master power switch off at night. They often describe the remote "Off" as a temporary standby mode. _________________ Just call me Zaphod (or Steve) --- I never should have started using numbers in a screen name but I just can't stop now. |

Thank you for your reply Steve. May be it's time to buy a new Sony.
