Is it possible to create a .ccf file from EFCs?
I have a few Pioneer discretes to convert to .ccf file which should be converted later to Harmony format.
Thanks |

First you need OBC numbers, not EFC numbers. You can use JP1 software tools easily to translate EFC to OBC for the single part Pioneer commands. Translating the double part commands is a little trickier. But there probably is no point. For many models Pioneer documents the discrete codes (giving the OBC numbers) on their web site. For other models, the discrete codes are documented (with OBC numbers) in various threads and files at RemoteCentral. Those should be easier starting points (especially for two part codes) than using EFC numbers.
To convert from OBC number (and device and protocol of course) to Pronto Hex, you could use MakeHex. But again Pioneer has most of that Pronto Hex available on their web site and the rest is available from RemoteCentral. Unless you're already expert in MakeHex, it's easier to find the work already done than to do it over yourself. |

John,
you're right - of course I should use OBCs. I've used MakeHex without problems. Thank you very much! |
