After I got the Sony combo codes sorted out, went on to generate an update for the Delphi XM Radio "Roady" ...it's functional and posted at
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=1946
As in the <mute> button on the Sony Combo, would really like to find out if there is a code that will activate the radio's <menu> button as, once it's pressed, the remote can continue to run the menu options.
In the above update, I added twenty "UnknownXX" functions and tried using them loaded with sequential codes to try close code, but no joy.
Hope there is a better approach.
I have downloaded and tinkered with "HIP" http://www.byremote.com.au/ and it looks as if this app/interface would have the capability to send ir commands.
I would _especially_ be interested in any work anyone has done that relates JP1 files to these tools.
Pointers to any info related to both a way to easily send ir commands from a list of codes or related tools would be appreciated. |

This is the "better" approach. In the old days (ie, pre-JP1) we used to have to test all the possible advanced codes manually, which meant tapping the SETUP button then typing in the 3 digit code, then repeating the process for all EFCs in the range 000 thru 255.
Now all you have to do is fire up KM, leave all the default function names in place, assign OBC 0 to the first function in the list, use a forumla like =C2+1 as the next OBC and then repeat this cell all the way down, this will give you a list of all the OBCs starting from 0. You'll find that most of the default functions are already pre-assigned to buttons, so you'll only need to make a few adjustments in the Buttons sheet.
Then you load this dummy upgrade into your remote and you try all the buttons to see what they do. Let's say you covered OBCs 0 thru 35 on the first pass, you'd then test 35 thru 70 on the next pass, etc.
You could create 5 or 6 dummy upgrades in advance and load them all up at once. You could then assign them to each of the 6 or 8 device buttons on your remote and test them all at once. _________________ Rob
